Erika who is of Puerto-Rican and Mexican descent is from Connecticut, but spent most of her time in Massachusetts attending one of the top boarding schools in New England. Upon graduating, Erika moved to New York City and lived the fabulous big city life she had always dreamed of. Prior to her on camera experience, Erika worked as a wardrobe stylist for television and print, and has styled celebrities and models, as well as numerous ad campaigns. Her ability to merge her upbeat personality, sharp wit and keen fashion sense led her from behind the scenes to in front of the camera, where she has always wanted to be. Erika's first on-camera job was as a fashion reporter for Event Links (a local show based in New York City). She eventually landed front and center as host of the Latin entertainment news program LatiNation. Erika has worked for MTV, as the resident fashion expert on the quirky make-over show "Trailer Fabulous", co-host of Style Network's "Dress My Nest", red-carpet correspondent for Harley Davidson and Complex Magazine/Complex TV, a host on musicplustv.com, co-host of Purple News Network, and a lifestyle correspondent for Pepsi.com. Erika is currently the bi-lingual correspondent on KNBC's and Telemundo's "Whipnotic". She is a member of The National Association of Hispanic Journalists, The Society for Professional Journalists, The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, SESAC Publishing, and The League of United Latin American Citizens. She lists Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek, Soledad O'Brien, Kelly Ripa, and Ryan Seacrest as her "media idols". -Erika includes shoe cobbling and shoe design as her favorite pastimes.
